Content of the Technical Seminar
This seminar will provide an understanding of refrigerant
applications which cover the following contents: types of refrigerants,
saturation pressure and temperature of a refrigerant, refrigeration capacity
and efficiency, safety of refrigerants, environmental impact of refrigerants,
and codes and standards.
Mike Thompson is global director of refrigerant applications
for Ingersoll Rand. In this role, Thompson is responsible for working with
Ingersoll Rand’s climate businesses and customers to communicate the potential
impact of future policies on products and markets. He also participates as an
industry expert for low global warming potential refrigerant applications in
the United Nations Montreal Protocol process.
Thompson has more than 27 years of experience with Trane and
the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry and earned a
bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.

will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Successful applicants
will be notified by e-mail on or before 30 November 2018. If the applicants
have not received the confirmation e-mail on or before 30 November 2018, their
applications will be regarded as not successful.
If typhoon signal no. 8 or black rainstorm signal is in
force and still hoisted after 5:00 pm on that date, the talk would be cancelled
without further arrangement or notification.
